Winchester City Flyers tournament is set to kick off the 2024/25 season with a bang, as it welcomes over 160 girls teams from the South to compete in its annual event. What started nearly two decades ago with just a few teams from the Channel Islands looking for some friendly matches has now blossomed into a massive tournament. This year, teams of all ages will be battling it out over three days of intense girls’ football at King George V Playing Fields in Winchester.
On Saturday, September 7th, the U8s, U10s, U11s, U13s, and U15s will take to the pitch. The following day, Sunday, September 8th, will see the U9s, U12s, U14s, and U16s teams in action. Finally, on Saturday, September 14th, the U18s will have their turn to shine. Spectators are more than welcome to come and cheer on the teams, so why not make a day (or three) out of it and show your support for girls’ football?
Whether you're a seasoned player looking for a new challenge, a total beginner wanting to give football a try, or even someone who just loves being involved in sports, Winchester City Flyers warmly invites you to join in on the fun. If you're interested in playing, coaching, or volunteering, don't hesitate to reach out to the club. Let's make this tournament one to remember! #uptheflyers
