'Shito-Ryu' (meaning “Combined Style”). Mabuni's goal was to create a well-rounded martial art that incorporated the best aspects of both hard and soft styles. Shito-Ryu Karate-Do focuses on efficient techniques that utilise both striking and grappling, making it a versatile and practical self-defence system.

At Williams Family Karate Academy, we are proud to be affiliated with Seito Shito-Ryu Australia Karate-Do Kai, the official representative in Australia for Shito-Ryu International Karate Do Kai located in Osaka, Japan. This affiliation ensures that our instructors are trained and certified to teach authentic Shito-Ryu Karate-Do, following the principles and techniques established by Master Kenwa Mabuni.

Our training facility is located at the Yangebup Community Centre in Yangebup, Western Australia. The centre provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students of all ages and skill levels. We offer a variety of training sessions throughout the week to accommodate even the busiest schedules. Our classes include separate sessions for kids, teens, and adults, allowing each age group to focus on their specific developmental needs.
