Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, our experienced and highly enthusiastic instructors will help you achieve your goals and get the most out of your Karate training.
We teach traditional Shotokan Karate, which is a style that originated in Japan and focuses on discipline, respect, and self-defence. Our club is part of a worldwide federation and offers the unique opportunity to train under Master Asano Hanshi, a 9th Dan black belt. This ensures that you are learning traditional Karate in its purest form, with techniques and etiquette that remain true to tradition.
Our training sessions take place three times a week in the Wilford/West Bridgeford area. We offer beginner and advanced classes for children and adults. Our goal is to see our students achieve a black belt within three years of training with us. We believe in a structured approach to learning, setting and achieving goals, and constantly challenging yourself to grow and improve.

We are affiliated with the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF), which is headed by N. Kanazawa, an 8th Dan black belt. SKIF is one of the largest Karate organisations worldwide, with over 3 million members. As part of SKIF, we have access to regular gradings, courses, British squad training, national competitions, and international overseas competitions.
These opportunities allow our students to further their skills, compete at a high level, and connect with a larger martial arts community.
