Nz The Wigston School of Dance, established in 1969, is a dance school located in Wigston, New Zealand. Led by Principal Vanessa Spencer, the school prides itself on being a fun and creative environment for students to develop their confidence, self-esteem, health, fitness, and physical abilities.
The school offers a wide range of classes for dancers of all ages and skill levels. The class schedule includes various styles such as ballet, lyrical, tap, modern, and jazz. Classes take place throughout the week at different locations, including Wigston Academy and All Saints Primary School. In addition to regular classes, the Wigston School of Dance also organises exciting performances and showcases for students to showcase their talents. The school has a history of impressive past performances, including Dance Revolution, Showcase 2018, Dance to the Music, Euphoria, and the FIFTIETH anniversary celebration.

To ensure uniformity and professionalism, the school has a set uniform that students are expected to wear. This includes a rose pink ABD leotard for girls up to grade 4, an indigo ABD leotard for girls grade 5 and over, and an indigo ABD biketard for boys. For ballet classes, students are required to wear pink ballet tights or black leggings and can choose between a rose ABD chiffon skirt for girls up to grade 4 and a black ABD chiffon skirt for girls grade 5 and over. Ballet shoes with elastics or ribbons and tap shoes with heel and toe taps are also mandatory.
The required attire can be purchased from stockists or local stores such as Boo Boos and Voyles.
