Wickersley Youth Junior Football Club, located in Rotherham, is dedicated to providing football training and development for boys and girls aged 4–6 years old. Their primary focus is to introduce young children to the sport of football and help them build essential skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

The club takes pride in its team of coaches, all of whom are DBS checked and FA Qualified. This ensures that they have undergone essential safeguarding training and are fully equipped to provide a safe and secure environment for the young players. Additionally, all coaches have completed the FA Level One coaching course, making them first aid trained and highly knowledgeable in teaching football fundamentals.

Wickersley Youth embraces the idea of “Football For All,” striving to inspire teamwork and friendship among its players. With over 30 boys and girls teams, the club boasts a diverse community of over 400 players, supported by more than 50 FA qualified coaches. This not only ensures that children receive personalised attention but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and companionship.

The club's training sessions are designed to make football enjoyable and engaging for young children. Held at Sorby Way on Tuesday nights during the summer and Rotherham Football Centre in the winter, these sessions offer a structured curriculum led by qualified coaches. Children will learn the basic skills of football, such as turning, stopping, passing, and dribbling, while having fun and growing their passion for the game.

Wickersley Youth Junior Football Club holds the esteemed Charter Standard Football Club status. This means that all of their coaches possess the FA Level One coaching qualification, ensuring a high standard of coaching expertise. Additionally, every coach has undergone Safeguarding Training and First Aid Training, prioritising the safety and well-being of the young players. Furthermore, all coaches have undergone DBS (CRB) checks, guaranteeing the club's commitment to creating a safe and secure environment.
