Welcome to Whitford Pony Club! Whitford Pony Club is a renowned and welcoming pony club situated in Whitford, New Zealand. Our club offers a fun and friendly environment where children and adults can learn and participate in horse riding and horse management skills.
Club membership is open to individuals who own or lease their own horse or pony. However, if you are looking for riding lessons, please refer to our FAQ page for more information.
We take pride in our outstanding facilities, which are spread across 28 acres of pristine grounds. These facilities include a well-designed cross-country course, 60×20 and 40×20 dressage arenas, a large sand showjumping arena, covered yards with wash down areas, and a clubhouse. Our members, as well as casual riders and professional coaches, are welcome to utilise these beautiful grounds.
At Whitford Pony Club, we prioritise the safety and skill development of our members. Therefore, we hold regular rallies and events where our highly experienced, professional, and qualified pony club coaches provide riding and horse management instruction. During these rallies, riders are grouped based on their riding ability and/or certificate level. Our coaches not only make the rallies informative but also ensure they are enjoyable and fun for everyone.

The club is run and organised by a dedicated group of volunteers who make up our committee.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Whitford Pony Club, we are always happy to welcome new individuals to our community. To join, please email us with some information about yourself or your child to whitfordponyclub@gmail. Com. All memberships need to be approved by the committee, which meets at the beginning of each month.
Once approved, we will provide further instructions on signing up with the New Zealand Pony Club Association's national database, Nominate.
You are also welcome to attend one of our rally days to get a firsthand experience of what Whitford Pony Club is all about. Please note that the pony club season runs from September 1st to August 31st, and all memberships are due for renewal in September, regardless of when you join during the season.
