Chris, the organiser, here to share some exciting news about Whickham Golf Club. Nestled in Newcastle upon Tyne, Whickham Golf Club has been a spot for golf lovers since 1911, moving to its current home at Hollinside Park in 1938.
They’ve recently put a fresh spin on the Crombie Course, and it’s reopened since June 2016. The Hollinside Park Course now offers a proper challenge with its par 71 layout for men and par 74 for ladies. Trust us, winding through the tree-lined fairways and coping with those small, tricky greens, you'll be putting your accuracy to the test!

Open to everyone - members, visitors, and golf societies - Whickham Golf Club makes teeing off easy with online booking up and running. From 1st November 2023 to 31st March 2024, winter green fees are £18.00 on both weekdays and weekends/bank holidays. Juniors with an adult can play for £10.00 a round. Discounts are available for those with the Durham County Card Scheme and English Golf Union Card.
From 1st April 2024 to 31st October 2024, green fees jump to £35.00 on weekdays and £40.00 on weekends and bank holidays. Need a trolley? That’s £4.00. Buggies? £25.00 per round, £30.00 for the day.
Got a group? They’ve got you covered with special rates for visiting parties and golf societies. For April to October 2024, groups of 8–16 can book for £30.00 per person (£27.00 for 17+ golfers) on weekdays. Need more playtime? 27 holes are £35.00 per person for 8–16 golfers and £30.00 for 17+ golfers. On Sundays after 11:00 am, it’s just £33.00 per person for 8–16 golfers. Winter group rates from November 2023 to March 2024 are £18.00 per person for groups of 8 or more.
Safety first! The club runs regular risk assessments and welcomes your feedback on any hazards. First aid boxes are handy in the clubhouse and greenkeepers shed.
