Wheathampstead Cricket Club, based in St Albans, is your go-to place for cricket if you're in the UK. Run by John and his team, it’s a welcoming spot for players of all ages and skill levels. There’s a strong emphasis on both senior and junior teams, giving everyone the chance to play and grow in the sport.

John has made sure the club’s facilities are top-notch. They’ve got a well-kept square, artificial nets, a professional bowling machine, and a great clubhouse. Years of investment have paid off, making it one of the best-equipped clubs around.

For senior players, the club has four teams playing every weekend in the Senior Hertfordshire Cricket League. The first team is in the 3B division, and the others are spread across the 8A, 10W, and 11N divisions. They also take part in the National Village Cup, perfect for anyone looking to make a mark on a bigger stage.

Junior cricket is a big deal, too. They’ve got teams for kids under 8 to under 17, plus all-stars and girls' cricket teams. Everyone's welcome and there’s a team for every young cricketer.

Regular net sessions, both indoor and outdoor, help players develop their skills. Indoor nets are every Tuesday at Sandringham School from January to April. When the weather warms up, outdoor nets are on Wednesdays at Nomansland Common starting late April.

Nomansland Common isn’t just for practice; it's the main ground for matches on Saturdays, Sundays, and sometimes mid-week. With its picturesque setting, it draws quite the crowd, creating a lively atmosphere.
