Steve here, the organiser of Whakatane Town AFC, just wanted to drop a quick note to our amazing sports community. Here's the lowdown on our club and how you can get involved.

Whakatane Town AFC is the top soccer club in the Eastern Bay of Plenty, and we've been kicking around since 1954. We've got a bit of history and plenty of league wins under our belt. Plus, we've got the largest junior membership in the region.

Our senior club welcomes both men and women, aged 16 to 56, so whether you're a newbie or a seasoned player, we've got a spot for you. Our qualified coaching staff run training sessions for those looking to up their game. Our motto, “One Club, One Spirit, One Direction,” keeps us united and focused, providing a safe and fun environment for everyone to enjoy the beautiful game.

Interested in joining? It's easy as. Just get in touch or swing by Rex Morpeth Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm to 8pm for our training sessions. New players are always welcome.

Steve is proud of our club’s history, which started with skilled workers from the UK, Norway, Sweden, Holland, and Finland back when the Whakatane Board Mills kicked off. We've grown a lot since then and love the community we've built.
