Weyburn Youth Centre is a vibrant and welcoming space for youth in grades 5-12 to hang out and connect with each other in a safe and positive environment. With a motto of “Every young person living fully in Christ,” the Centre aims to foster lasting relationships with teens and share Christ-like love with them. The Centre is open on Friday nights and offers a range of activities for young people to enjoy.
The Centre features a variety of programs and activities, including the TAGS Drop-In program which offers extreme dodge ball, floor hockey, foosball, pool tables, air hockey tables, Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 gaming consoles. There is also a concession stand and a cozy fireplace where youth can relax and socialize with their friends. Additionally, there is an outdoor Skate/BMX Park for young people to practice their skating and biking skills.
At Weyburn Youth Centre, trained adult supervisors are always present to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth. The Centre has a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, and bullying, creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all young people who visit. Volunteers play a crucial role in making the Centre a success, and individuals interested in volunteering can contact the Centre for more information.
The Centre is part of Southeast Saskatchewan Youth for Christ and operates in partnership with the community to empower youth to choose positive and meaningful lives. Through ongoing support from the United Way-Regina, the Centre is able to continue providing a fun and safe space for youth of all backgrounds to come together, feel loved, and know that they matter. Weyburn Youth Centre is committed to transforming a generation from the inside out and making a difference in the lives of young people in the community.
