The club is proud to have a fast-growing girls section, catering to young female players aged 5-11. West Kirby United FC is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and ensures that multiple teams are available per age group, allowing players to compete with and against others of similar ability. West Kirby United FC operates across various venues in and around West Kirby, including Greenbank Road, Anglesey Road, Hilbre High School, and Calday School. These locations provide excellent facilities and are well-equipped to accommodate the club's training sessions and matches.
As a Charter Standard Community Club, West Kirby United FC is dedicated to upholding the highest standards in football development and child welfare. The club's merger in 2017 brought together the two long-standing junior clubs, West Kirby Wasps and West Kirby Panthers, to create a unified and strengthened organisation. This merger allowed for the development of class-leading venues and improved opportunities for players to excel in their football journey.
With nearly 1000 players, West Kirby United FC is not only one of the largest junior football clubs on the Wirral but also in the UK. The club's size and structure enable a smooth transition for players as they progress from small-sided games (5v5) to larger formats (7v7, 9v9, and 11v11). This approach ensures that players stay engaged and motivated throughout their football development, reducing the dropout rate often seen in other clubs.
