West End Terriers FC, in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire, has always been committed to grassroots football. John, the organiser, is thrilled to share that the club earned the FA Charter Standard Community Football Club accolade in January 2021, a testament to everyone's dedication.
Open to all in the community, West End Terriers FC offers a supportive environment for players of all ages. They've got a complete pathway from age 6 all the way through to adulthood, ensuring both boys and girls can enjoy their football journey.
For the younger ones, there are the Tiny Terriers and Lil Terriers groups, aimed at kids aged 3 to 6. These Saturday morning sessions follow the FA's 4 corner approach and are a great introduction to the sport.
With over 35 years serving Hemsworth, West End Terriers FC remains a key part of the community. A merger with three other local clubs in 2016 only strengthened their resolve to provide a safe and fun environment for all members to play football.
John and the team are confident in the club's structure and look forward to its continued growth. They’re here to stay, aiming to be part of Hemsworth for many more years.
For those interested, the club's official website is loaded with news and updates, including a roll of honours. A highlight was the U18s winning the Doncaster & District Junior Football First Division league title in 2023 under the management of Tony Varley.
