Welcome to West End Bowling Club, located in the beautiful city of New Plymouth. As the upcoming 2023-2024 bowling season approaches, President Denis Welby and the Executive Committee extend a warm welcome to all members. With the Nationals added to our already busy schedule, we have an exciting and action-packed season ahead.
At West End Bowling Club, we offer a range of services and facilities to cater to your needs. Our greens have undergone extensive work during winter and will be ready for play in mid-September. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just starting out, our well-maintained greens provide the perfect setting for a fun-filled game.
Planning an event? Look no further. When you book your event with us, you have the option to choose from a catering partner or self-cater. Our venue boasts a full bar, BBQ, and kitchen on-site, ensuring that your guests have a delightful dining experience.
From pre-wedding celebrations to Christmas parties, birthday gatherings, and corporate functions, West End Bowling Club is the ideal location for all your special occasions.
Require a space for your meetings or workshops? We have plenty of room available. Our facilities can accommodate various group sizes, providing a comfortable and professional environment for your gatherings. Whether you require a space for team brainstorming sessions or presentations, our venue offers the perfect setting to inspire creativity and collaboration.
Your safety and well-being are our priority. As part of our host responsibility policy, we serve alcohol and food in a responsible and friendly manner. Substantial food is available at all times, including assorted microwaveable pies, lasagna toppers, and pizzas. We also have menus from local food establishments, providing a diverse range of options.
To prevent underage drinking, we strictly enforce age identification, accepting the HANZ 18+ Card, Photo Drivers Licence, or a current NZ or overseas Passport.
Additionally, we offer a range of low and non-alcoholic drinks, such as tea, coffee, soft drinks, fruit juice, and a low-alcohol beer option. We encourage patrons to have a designated driver and provide contact information for taxi and Pro-Drive services to ensure a safe journey home.
Our dedicated bar staff actively monitor and prevent intoxication and ensure the premises remain welcoming and safe for all patrons. We do not engage in any in-house promotions that encourage excessive drinking. If anyone is intoxicated, they will be asked to leave in accordance with the law.
