At West Coast Aikido Martial Arts Academy, we specialise in an authentic Budo system, blending the best elements of aikido, jujutsu, karate, and judo, along with traditional Japanese weapons. Our main style, Yoseikan Aikido, is a traditional Japanese mixed martial art that combines techniques from Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, and Kenjutsu. It holds its foundations in the budo martial art of the Japanese Samurai. Many practitioners train in Aikido for its nonviolent self-defence techniques, but also for the mental and spiritual benefits it provides.
While our primary focus is on martial arts training, we also offer various programmes tailored to different age groups and needs. Our programmes include Children's Aikido for kids aged 4 to 6 years old, Youth Aikido for ages 7 to 12 years old, Teen & Adult Aikido for ages 13 and up, Women's Self Defence, Martial Arts In Your Local School, and Private Lessons for all ages.
