Matt, the organiser at Westbury-on-Trym Archery Club in Bristol, wishes to share some exciting news with the sports community. He wants everyone to know that advance bookings are essential and walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Send an email to [email protected] or book online to secure your spot.
Westbury-on-Trym Archery Club has a fantastic range of archery lessons, events, and parties suitable for all ages and skill levels. Matt has created a welcoming environment for beginners to learn archery safely and quickly. Families are more than welcome; it’s a sport all can enjoy together, with various family activities and games on offer.
Once beginners complete their induction, they can join open practice sessions. These sessions are perfect for fine-tuning skills in a relaxed atmosphere. Experienced archers are encouraged to join in too.
In addition to regular activities, the club hosts archery parties for kids (aged 6-16) and adults. It’s a fun and memorable way to celebrate any occasion. Corporate teams can also benefit from bespoke team-building activities that Matt organises.
Safety is a top priority at the club. All instructors are accredited by ArcheryGB/GNAS and have undergone DBS checks. Public liability insurance covers the club up to £1 Million.
Public archery sessions are available on Sunday afternoons, suitable for anyone over the age of 6. These “pay and play” sessions don’t require ArcheryGB membership. All necessary equipment and insurance are provided during the session.
Sessions are held at Shine Sports Hall at St. Ursula's Academy in Bristol. The indoor range is up to 36 metres, though most sessions are set for 18 metres (20 yards). Advanced booking is crucial to secure a spot as the club cannot handle walk-ins.
Whether you're a beginner keen to learn archery, a family seeking fun activities, or a group looking for a unique event, Westbury-on-Trym Archery Club has something for you. Book your session today by emailing [email protected] or visiting their website.
