Welcome to West Bridgford Bowling Club! Founded in 1904 and based in Nottingham, West Bridgford Bowling Club knows how to make players of all levels feel at home.
Located on Rectory Road, the club shares excellent clubhouse facilities with Musters Lawn Tennis Club, ensuring a lively and friendly atmosphere for everyone. One of the highlights of the club is its top-notch bowling green, which was upgraded in 2014 to meet World Bowls standards, providing an excellent playing surface.
The club offers a comprehensive programme, catering to all levels of skill. Affiliated with Bowls England and Bowls Nottinghamshire, West Bridgford Bowling Club participates in several leagues such as the League of Country Bowling Clubs, the Nottingham Federation Bowls League, the Belvoir League, the Corson League, and the Rushcliffe Trophy (Ladies) League. With seven league teams, the club offers varied competition opportunities.
Matches are typically held in the evenings, but there is also a full schedule of weekend friendly matches against local clubs and visiting teams. Additionally, social bowling sessions are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons for those seeking a more relaxed experience.
The club is committed to developing members' skills with the help of two Coach Bowls Level 2 coaches and three Coach Bowls Level 1 coaches. A Junior Section is also available, led by senior coaches.
An annual Open Day is held at the start of the season, inviting everyone to explore the game. Following the Open Day, a three-week coaching course is offered for those interested in improving their skills.
The bowling season runs from mid-April to the end of September, giving members ample time to enjoy the facilities and participate in various games and competitions. During the off-season, the clubhouse and bar remain a hub for social activities and events, fostering a strong community spirit.
