Wenty Waratah Football Club (WWFC) is a local community soccer club located in Merrylands, Australia. Established in 1954, the club has a rich history and is proud to be turning 70 in the 2024 season. Affiliated with the Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association (GDSFA) and a football division of the Wenty Waratah Sports & Social Club Inc. (W.
W. S. C. Inc.
), WWFC is run entirely by passionate volunteers who are dedicated to providing opportunities for soccer players of all ages.
WWFC offers teams for boys, men, girls, and women across various age groups, ranging from Under 6s to Over 45s for boys and men, and U6s to Over 30s for girls/ladies and women. The club participates in both mixed competition with GDSFA, with weeknight training and Saturday games, as well as the Girls/Ladies competition in the Phoenix League with BDSFA, featuring weeknight training and Sunday games.
The club's home ground is the Ted Burge Sportsground, named after its founder Noel “Ted” Burge in 1996. Previously known as Centenary Park, the Ted Burge Sportsground stands as a symbol of the club's history and dedication to the sport. It serves as a place where players and supporters come together to enjoy the beautiful game.
