Wellington BMX Track is a 400m UCI international-level track located at the southern end of Ian Galloway Park in Wellington. This track is suitable for riders of all ages and skill levels, whether they are looking to ride for fun or compete in races.
The track features a five-metre start ramp and a state-of-the-art start gate, which is operational only during Capital BMX Club training and race events. There is also a club and pro-line in the third straight, providing challenges for both beginners and elite riders.

Safety is a top priority at Wellington BMX Track. Bikes must have slick tyres, and riders are required to wear a full-face helmet and gloves. Elbow and knee guards are strongly recommended for added protection.

Club memberships, which include a BMX NZ race licence, start at $100. The BMX race season runs from September to April, allowing members to enjoy training and interclub racing.
Wellington City Council collaborated with the Capital BMX Club to plan, fundraise, and build the Wellington BMX Track. The track was designed by Brett Barnes of DIRTZ, Australasia's leading BMX track designer, and built by Empire of Dirt, internationally renowned New Zealand track builders.
