Upstairs on level 1, Atrium complex, Tewantin, is Wellbeing and Fitness Sunshine Coast, a rehabilitation centre, personal trainer, physiotherapist, and wellness centre all rolled into one. This establishment, run by a father-daughter team, focuses on the benefits of exercise and fitness for the health and wellbeing of their clients.
With a belief in customised functional goals, Wellbeing and Fitness aims to improve client outcomes and enhance physical recovery. They offer tailored health solutions for individuals with acute injuries, chronic conditions, specific fitness goals, or those simply looking to achieve greater health benefits.
Elizabeth Wells, an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA, heads the team. With over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, Liz has worked as a sports coordinator in numerous Sunshine Coast schools and a strength and conditioning trainer across Noosa gyms. She is also a Les Mills RPM and Grit group fitness instructor and Grit Captain. Liz specialises in providing education and exercise prescription for managing both healthy populations and individuals with chronic conditions.
Working alongside Liz is Peter McMullan, a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with 40 years of experience. Peter holds a diploma in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Having established three private practises, Peter has worked with elite sporting teams and become a WorkCover assessor and aged care provider. Though Peter is a “hands-on” physiotherapist, he also strongly relies on exercise protocols as an adjunct to manual therapy in rehabilitation treatment.
Wellbeing and Fitness Sunshine Coast provides a range of services to cater to their clients' needs. They offer one-on-one sessions that are tailored to each individual's specific health goals. If rehabilitation is required, they design safe programmes to enable clients to safely return to daily living, work, or sport. Additionally, they provide education and strategies to aid in the management of chronic conditions and offer safe design and monitoring of home-based exercise programmes.
