Welland Valley Archers

Welland Valley Archers is a friendly and inclusive archery club located in Market Harborough. The club welcomes members of all ages and skill levels, and offers a range of archery styles including recurve, barebow, compound, longbow, and American flat bow. With a strong emphasis on community and support, there is always someone available to provide help and advice to members.

The primary objective of Welland Valley Archers is to promote and foster a greater interest in archery as a hobby, as well as to assist members in improving their archery skills and knowledge. To help newcomers get started, the club offers a Beginners' Course at a cost of 35. 00 per person. The course is led by qualified club members who have undergone DBS checks, and all equipment is provided for the duration of the course.

In line with their commitment to child protection, the club has a strict Child Protection Policy in place. For children under the age of 13, it is required that a parent or guardian accompany them at all times. Welland Valley Archers was established in 1992 and currently has approximately 50 members in both the Junior and Senior divisions. The club holds outdoor shooting sessions at Symington's Sports Ground, with the entrance located between EcoVillage and Flats. Indoor sessions take place at the Meadowdale Primary School Sports Hall, situated at the rear of the school. The club shoots most Saturdays throughout the year at Symington's Sports Ground. Competitions are held from March to September on Saturdays and Sundays at Symington's Sports Ground, and there are typically two Sunday sessions per month from October to March held indoors at Meadowdale Primary School.
