The Welland School of Dancing, located in Stamford, has been providing high-quality dance education since 1964. Under the guidance of current principal Maggie Purr A. R. A.
D. T. S. , the school offers classes in Ballet, Tap, and Modern Theatre, following the renowned syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD).

Children as young as 2 years old can enrol in Ballet classes, while Tap and Modern Theatre classes are open to those aged 3 and Hip Hop classes are available for children aged 7 and above.
The Welland School of Dancing boasts a fully equipped dance studio situated in Stamford's Ballroom complex, which dates back to 1820. The studio features amenities such as pianists, ballet barres, mirrors, and sprung floors, all essential for comprehensive and effective dance training. In addition to their children's classes, the school also offers adult classes in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, with beginners warmly welcomed.
The school takes immense pride in its faculty, comprised of highly talented and experienced teachers. Notably, former principal Anne Desbruslais F. I. C.
E. , now serving as the school's patron, remains actively involved in the Welland School of Dancing. Other dedicated instructors include James Skinner in an administrative role, Ruth Proctor as the school's pianist, and teachers Henri Tatton, Jen Baker, Chloe Devos, Lesley Gramegna, Vikki Norton, Posie Nelms, Meg Snow, Francesca Ainge, and Florrie Harris.
