The 7U Division event hosted by Welland Minor Baseball Association is a perfect opportunity for young players to start learning and enjoying the game of baseball. With games and practices at Memorial Park (Glenwood) once a week, players get the chance to have fun while getting the hang of the game. Coaches are there to provide guidance during the games, ensuring everyone has a blast while learning the basics of baseball.
In this division, the coach pitches to batters and if no contact is made, players get a chance to hit from a tee. Scores and standings are not kept, so the focus is on the spirit of the game and having a good time. The weekly session includes 30 minutes of practice followed by at least an hour of gameplay, so there's plenty of time on the field for everyone.
Players should bring their T-Ball Bat, Baseball Glove (8.5”-10”), Batting Helmet, T-Ball Tee for practice hitting, Water Bottle, Baseball pants (optional), and Cleats (optional) to each session. The emphasis is on having fun and getting into the groove of baseball, making it a great introduction to the sport for young athletes. Don't miss out on joining the Welland Minor Baseball Association for a fantastic baseball experience!
