Swing Academy UK Holborn, the popular local Contemporary Dance club in London, is thrilled to announce the upcoming event that dance enthusiasts won't want to miss! Starting from Tuesday, 9th January 2024, the club will be resuming its classes every Tuesday from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
If you're new to dance or eager to learn, we kindly ask you to arrive on time for the 7:30pm class. It's always a good idea to come a few minutes earlier to sign in and get ready to have the time of your life. The classes will be held at The Swiss Church In London, which is conveniently situated at 79 Endell St, London WC2H 9DY. The location is just a short walk away from Covent Garden, Tottenham Court, and Holborn tube stations.
During the classes, participants will engage in a range of activities designed to warm up their bodies and improve their dance skills. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, there's something for everyone! Beginners can enjoy a freestyle beginners track along with a technique class or review class to enhance their skills. Intermediate and advanced dancers can take advantage of a progressive movement class and a movement development class. To wrap up the evening, there's a social dancing session where dancers of all levels can come together and have a great time.
Leading these exciting classes is none other than our talented instructor for the night, Coleen Man. With her expertise and passion for dance, you can be sure that you're in good hands.
The classes are reasonably priced at £12 per person, which covers both the lessons and the social dancing session. If you're only looking to join the social dancing portion, it's just £7 per person. We also offer a discounted rate of £10 per person for students and seniors aged 65 and above. Additionally, children under 18 can attend the classes for free, making it an excellent opportunity for young dancers to explore their passion. Please note that a Swingclubcard membership fee of £1 is required, except for our overseas visitors.
As we prioritise the safety and well-being of our dancers, we have implemented necessary precautions to combat COVID-19. While proof of a negative lateral flow test is not mandatory, we kindly ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms or feeling unwell, to refrain from attending the classes. Regular hand washing and sanitization are strongly encouraged to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all. While not mandatory, wearing a face mask throughout the night is certainly welcomed. We also encourage vaccination, although it is not a requirement to attend the classes. Lastly, let's remember to respect each other's choices and maintain a harmonious atmosphere.
