Big Rock Hub, the premier Indoor Climbing club in Milton Keynes, is excited to announce an upcoming event that will leave climbers of all levels itching to reach new heights.
At Big Rock Climbing Centre, we pride ourselves on offering top-notch facilities and expert coaching for climbers aged 8-19. As an accredited NICAS Primary Centre, we deliver the highly respected NICAS syllabus to young climbers aged 8-16, providing them with a solid foundation in the sport. Our clubs run weekly throughout the year, ensuring that young people can stay active and engaged in the thrill of climbing, even during term-time and school holidays.
We understand that there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to climbing, which is why we offer two types of clubs for young climbers in different age groups. Our Rockhoppers club caters to ages 8-15 and allows participants to work through the NICAS program at their own pace. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned climber, Rockhoppers has something for everyone. Divided into Juniors (ages 8-12) and Seniors (ages 12-15), our Rockhopper Clubs provide a supportive and challenging environment for climbers to push their limits and have fun.
Each Rockhopper Club session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, and our 6-week programs typically kick off at the beginning of each school half-term. To secure your spot, make sure to book in advance and pay for the complete half-term upfront. Please note that missed sessions cannot be refunded or exchanged for credit, except in cases where weekend courses run into school holidays.
For teenagers aged 15-19, Big Rock Hub offers sessions throughout the week that allow them to continue their climbing journey. These sessions serve as a perfect opportunity for climbers to fulfil requirements for GCSE PE or Duke of Edinburgh criteria, work on the NICAS syllabus, or simply enjoy the thrill of climbing with friends. Regardless of their skill level, beginners and less experienced teenagers are welcome to join and learn the fundamentals of climbing. Meanwhile, our more seasoned climbers can focus on honing their skills and taking their climbing to new heights.
For climbers under 18, we kindly request parents or guardians to complete a consent form before participating in the sessions for teenagers aged 15-19. If any details have changed since the last completion of the form, we kindly ask that a new form is completed to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
Join us at Big Rock Hub and let us guide you towards becoming the best climber you can be. We can't wait to see you reach for the summit!
