Webbcona Bowls Club Inc. is a well-established sports club located in Ballarat, Victoria. Proudly established in 1970, the club was named after its founders, Ken Webb, Len Webb, and Jack Conaughton. With a rich history and strong sense of community, Webbcona Bowling Club prides itself on its family culture and welcomes both new and existing members and their families to join.
The club actively participates in both Saturday and Tuesday competitions, with five divisions on Saturdays (Division 1, Division 2, Division 4, Division 5, and Division 8) and three divisions on Tuesdays (Division 1, Division 3, and Division 5). In 2019, Webbcona celebrated its 50th anniversary, highlighting its long-standing presence in the community and dedication to the sport. The club also holds the title of a 'Roll Up Hub Club,' aiming to engage and encourage young people to stay active through sport.
Webbcona Bowls Club is committed to promoting sun-smart behaviour and encourages its members to practise good UV protection. The club has a comprehensive sun smart policy in place, which raises awareness about the risks of harmful UV exposure and provides strategies to minimise these risks.
Throughout the year, Webbcona hosts various events and functions, including end-of-season dinners, wine tasting events, and the popular Barefoot Bowls Corporate Cup, which attracts a great turnout from the local community.
