Wearmouth Archers is a community-focused archery club located in Tyne and Wear, Sunderland. We operate at two venues, Lambton Street Youth & Community Centre and Wearmouth Colliery Welfare Ground. With a warm and friendly environment, our club caters to archers of all levels of experience, from professionals to casual enthusiasts. Our main goal is to ensure that everyone enjoys the sport of archery in our club.
We are proud to be affiliated with esteemed organisations such as Archery GB (GNAS), Durham and Northumberland Archery Association (DNAA), and the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS). These affiliations help us maintain high standards and provide our members with the best possible archery experience.
For indoor shooting, we are based at Lambton Street Youth Centre. Our outdoor shooting takes place at Wearmouth Colliery Welfare Ground. Directions to both venues can be found below. During the outdoor season, which runs from April to September, we shoot at the Wearmouth Colliery Welfare grounds.
From October to March, we move indoors to the Lambton Street Youth Centre sports hall. The sports hall is fully wheelchair accessible.
Our indoor club times are on Thursday evenings from 20:00 to 22:00, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00. Outdoor club times are on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 18:00 to 20:00, and on Sundays from 14:00 to 16:00.
We have session fees in place for both indoor and outdoor shooting. Indoor shooting sessions are included in the membership fee for 1st and 2nd claim club members. Guests pay a fee of 5 per session. Similarly, outdoor shooting sessions are included in the membership fee for 1st and 2nd claim club members.
Guests are required to pay 3 per session.
