Pinewood Netball Club wants to invite all interested players to join the WDNA Saturday Home Competition taking place at the Ashwood courts. This seasonal competition caters to school-based clubs and independent teams, offering sections for players of all ages from 9 & under to Open categories. Teams in the 9 & under section must come with their own umpire, while WDNA provides a pool of umpires for the 11 & under to Open sections. It's crucial for teams entering the 9 & under category to be familiar with the modified rules set for that age group. You can find more information on major competition rules, as well as additional policies, on the WDNA website.
In case your club is new and keen on participating with multiple teams, don't hesitate to reach out to WDNA for further details. Team registrations can conveniently be done online. The Autumn Competition kicks off on February 24, 2024, and wraps up with the Autumn Grand Finals on June 15, 2024. Looking ahead to the Spring Competition, with rounds starting on July 20, 2024, and the Spring Grand Finals happening on December 7, 2024.
Team entry fees differ based on age categories, ranging from $260 to $735, while weekly court fees vary as well. 11 & under to Open categories pay $540, 9 & under teams pay $260. Games are divided into quarters lasting 7 to 10 minutes each, with the first match at the start of the day and the last in the afternoon.
