Residents of Waskesiu Lake. The Waskesiu Recreation Association (WRA) is the hub of activity in the community, open daily from the May long weekend through the September long weekend.
Located at 1500 Montreal Drive in the heart of Waskesiu, the WRA offers a range of recreational activities and facilities to suit all interests. Visitors can enjoy tennis, pickleball, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, beach volleyball, lawn bowling, giant chess & checkers, shuffleboard, outdoor ping pong, foosball, and more. The WRA also features an adult fitness park, children's ninja park, and sport court for even more fun and fitness options.
In addition to daily recreation opportunities, the WRA hosts a variety of community events throughout the summer months. From tournaments and Canada Day celebrations to cabarets, children's festivals, family dances, music festivals, and film festivals, there is always something happening at the Waskesiu Recreation Association.
One of the highlights of summer in Waskesiu is the Waskesiu Lakeside Music Festival. This 3-day outdoor event features live on-stage musical entertainment, an Indigenous talent showcase, children's play area, food vendors, and the Original 16 beer gardens. The festival takes place in late August and is a must-visit for music lovers of all ages.
For those looking to make the most of their time in Waskesiu, the WRA offers season and weekly passes that provide unlimited access to all rental equipment and facilities (excluding Little Al's Mini Golf).
