Not adhering to the booking rules. Therefore, starting from November 24th, 2023, the Warrington Anglers Association has implemented updated conditions for night fishing.
Members can now make bookings for night fishing by text between 9am and 6pm only. Out-of-hours bookings will not be accepted. Additionally, bookings can only be made up to 3 days in advance. In order to ensure fairness among all members, only one booking per week per person is allowed.
However, if necessary, members can book for 2 nights on any of the Sandiway lakes, Worthington lakes, Moore Quarry, Rixton clay pits, Phoenix Park lake, Budworth Mere. For all other 'night venues,' only single night bookings are allowed.
To avoid any confusion or inconvenience, members are required to have confirmation of their booking before travelling to their chosen fishing location. It is also essential that members leave the water by 12 noon on the day following their booking. The Committee will continue to monitor the situation and may make further changes if necessary based on prevailing conditions.
The Warrington Anglers Association is a friendly fishing club that manages a diverse range of fisheries on rivers, canals, and stillwaters in the North West of England and beyond. With over 33 miles of canal, more than 60 miles of river fishing, and over 160 acres of pool and lake fishing, the club offers an extensive range of fishing opportunities.
All the club's fisheries are exclusively for members; day tickets are not sold. The river fisheries managed by the club encompass various areas, including the Severn catchment, the Dee, Dove, Derwent, Trent, and Ribble rivers, as well as the River Wye. For stillwater fishing, the club offers a variety of options to suit both pleasure anglers and specimen hunters. These stillwater fisheries are located across Lancashire, Cheshire, and beyond, and include well-known locations such as Grey Mist Mere, Moore Quarry, Woodshaw Reservoir, and Sandiway Lakes.
For a comprehensive overview of the club's fisheries, members can refer to the Warrington AA Google Map, which provides placemarks for the stillwater fisheries. Canal and river stretches can also be viewed by clicking on the 'View Larger Map' link.

There are a few club notices that members should take note of. Firstly, Offa's Dyke Fishery is no longer part of the club's portfolio, and members are not permitted to access the site. Additionally, new memberships for 2024 are now open. Interested individuals can join the association on the website or by submitting their applications via post to the Warrington Anglers HQ.
Alternatively, memberships can also be obtained from select fishing tackle outlets listed by the club.
Furthermore, members are reminded that annual licences for the Bridgewater (Manchester) memberships will be available from January 2023. These licences cover the Bridgewater Canal from the A580 road bridge in Leigh to Broadheath bridge in Altrincham, including the Kraft Arm. Licences can be purchased from various locations, including Monton Tackle, Leigh Tackle & Bait, and Edgeley Sports & Fishing, or directly from the Warrington Anglers HQ. It is important to note that the prices for senior and junior licences for the Bridgewater (Manchester) memberships are 25 and 5, respectively.
Members are strongly advised to ensure they possess a current licence before fishing, as excuses for not having one will not be accepted by the club's bailiffs.
The Committee takes complaints from members seriously, particularly regarding members who do not show up or cancel their bookings while claiming that the waters were fully booked. The club views this issue as a serious matter and encourages all members to comply with the booking rules and regulations.
