WAPSAC - Whiston and Prescot Sub Aqua Club

Dave is calling all sports enthusiasts to join WAPSAC - Whiston and Prescot Sub Aqua Club in Liverpool. Founded in 1972 and now BSAC Diving Club Branch 2595, WAPSAC offers a straightforward path into SCUBA diving with robust training programmes, frequent diving activities, and weekly pool sessions.

For newcomers, Dave has set up try dives at Knowsley Leisure Centre. This one-hour session, available to anyone over 14, lets you dive into the underwater world with all equipment provided and skilled instructors on hand. Stress-free and straightforward, it’s your first step into the diving community.

Dave also offers comprehensive training courses that range from Ocean Diver to Advanced Diver. These courses involve both theory and practical tasks, supervised by the Diving Officer. Training is self-paced with pool sessions every Wednesday evening, culminating in open water dives for those ready to take the plunge.

WAPSAC doesn’t stop at training; Dave organises thrilling diving trips throughout the year. The club’s schedule includes an annual trip abroad and frequent weekend and Bank Holiday trips within the UK. All levels of divers, and even non-diving partners, are welcome to join these adventurous outings.

Conveniently located at Knowsley Leisure Centre on Longview Drive, Huyton, Merseyside, WAPSAC meets every Wednesday at 21:00 hours.
