The Hautapu Sports Club is buzzing with excitement as the women’s rugby team gears up for their debut in the Waikato Rugby Women’s Championship. Their first match against United Sports Matamata is happening on Saturday, April 6, in Matamata. And mark your calendars because the following weekend on April 13, the team will be facing Pirongia for their first home game at Hautapu Sports Club.
But that's not all - all four Hautapu teams, from the Premier to the Women’s Championship sides, will be playing at home on April 13. It's going to be a jam-packed day filled with rugby action and a great opportunity for fans to come out and support their local club.
In the Women’s Championship, a total of nine teams will be competing alongside Hautapu, including teams from Taupiri, Suburbs, Putaruru, Waitete, SURF, UMS, Pirongia, and Hauraki North. The recent update of the championship draw on March 26 means that everyone can stay up to date on when and where the matches will be taking place.
