Welcome to Waikanae Surf Life Saving Club! For over 70 years, our dedicated volunteers have been patrolling the beaches at the heart of Gisborne to ensure the safety of both locals and visitors. Our community-centred organisation is committed to providing a safe environment through lifeguard training, volunteer patrols, first aid training, and junior surf programmes.

Located at the end of Grey Street, our beautiful new building serves as the hub for all club activities. From surf competitions to IRB driver training, community water safety initiatives, and beach education days, there is always something happening at Waikanae SLSC. We take great pride in our architecturally designed club rooms, which are available for hire to the business community, attracting visitors from around the world. And don't miss the opportunity to workout in our superbly equipped gym, boasting a view that is second to none.
