Their mission is simple: to practise, study, and promote authentic Wado-Ryu Karate-Do at the highest standard, honouring the late T. Takamizawa's teachings. They follow the traditions of Japanese Budo, aiming to show everyone the deep benefits of serious martial arts practice.

Led by chief instructor M. Shiomitsu, a 9th Dan Hanshi and the top instructor in Europe for authentic Wado-Ryu Karate-Do, the Devon Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Kai is committed to excellence. Shiomitsu Sensei has been visiting Devon for over 30 years and has even been honoured by Otsuka Soke himself.

Whether you're an adult, child, or family, you're welcome to train with them in Torrington. The dojo offers a range of classes throughout the week, and they also organise events, squad training, and tournaments. They celebrate their members' achievements and prioritise everyone’s well-being through their welfare programme.
