The Virudhunagar District Volleyball Association (VDVBA) is a proud chapter of the Tamilnadu State Volleyball Association, fostering a vibrant and dynamic volleyball community since its inception in 1985. Nestled in the heart of Virudhunagar district, VDVBA stands as a beacon for volleyball enthusiasts, offering a platform that nurtures budding talents and propels seasoned players into the spotlight.
Under the dedicated leadership of Mr. R. K. Durai Singh, the Association has seen significant growth and restructuring since 2014. Regular state-level championships, district matches, coaching camps, and national-level referees clinics and coaches' refresher courses are organized to ensure that every participant not only excels in the sport but also experiences professional-level training and governance. Mr. M. P. Selvaganesh’s passion for the sport complements this vision, as his efforts as both VDVBA President and Treasurer of TNSVA have been pivotal in the development and promotion of volleyball across Tamilnadu.
The VDVBA prides itself on its community-centric approach, where the love for volleyball is cultivated through continuous engagement, training, and participation. From the establishment of indigenous volleyball courts to the provision of uniforms and kits, the Association ensures that the spirit of the game remains alive and thriving. Every activity is a testament to the collaborative effort of an administrative team dedicated to elevating the sport.
More than just tournaments and events, the VDVBA is about building lasting relationships and fostering a supportive environment where players, coaches, referees, and volunteers come together as one big volleyball family. Whether it's celebrating victories or supporting each other through challenges, the sense of community here is palpable and welcoming. For anyone passionate about volleyball, the Virudhunagar District Volleyball Association is not just a club - it’s a home.
