Victoria IceWay Skating Trail is a picturesque outdoor ice skating rink located in the heart of Edmonton's Victoria Park. This unique skating trail winds its way through the park, offering skaters a scenic and immersive ice skating experience. The trail is maintained and monitored daily to ensure optimal safety for all users.
Skaters can enjoy free admission to Victoria IceWay Skating Trail and are encouraged to cheque the IceWay status and conditions before visiting. The trail is open from 10am to 10pm daily, providing ample opportunity for both daytime and evening skating sessions. Please note that public skate may be closed during exclusive use times by the Edmonton Speed Skating Association (ESSA).
In addition to the skating trail, Victoria Park also features a pavilion where visitors can warm up, lace up their skates, and enjoy some hot cocoa. The pavilion is open from 9am to 10pm, providing a cozy retreat for skaters to take a break from the ice.
Safety is a top priority at Victoria IceWay Skating Trail, and skaters are reminded to use the ice surfaces at their own risk and to obey all posted signage. Sticks, balls, and pucks are only allowed in designated shinny/hockey areas, and pets are not permitted on the ice.
