Bob welcomes everyone to Victoria Badminton Club! He’s excited to offer a friendly yet competitive space right in central London, where players can enjoy their badminton and improve every week. They meet every Friday at the Queen Mother Sports Centre in Victoria from 6pm-9pm.
Formed back in 1981, the club has a great mix of players of all ages and backgrounds - some new faces and some who've been around for years. With around 40 members, there's always something happening, including social events during Christmas and summer.
Victoria Badminton Club also has teams in the Hammersmith and Middlesex leagues. They play with Chao Pai feather shuttles and have access to all five courts on Friday nights. You can become a member by paying quarterly or every six months, or if you’re just dropping in, you can pay per session for a bit before deciding to join. The club looks for players who are upper intermediate to advanced, ensuring everyone gets a good game.
If you’re unsure if you fit the bill, Bob suggests checking the club's checklist. Interested in trying out a session? Simply fill in the club's questionnaire and they'll get back to you.
Join in at Queen Mother Sports Centre, 223 Vauxhall Bridge Rd, Victoria, London, SW1V 1EL. And don’t forget, they play every Friday from 6pm to 9pm.
For any more info on membership, trial process, and the club’s committee, they’ve got all the answers ready for you. Bob’s looking forward to seeing you on the court!
