About
Plans came when the government decided to tear down the building altogether. It was at this point that discussions began about forming a new club. The City of Vancouver offered to lease land in Hillcrest Park (formerly Riley Park) and the Vancouver Racquets Club was born. The original building was constructed in 1969 and has since undergone several renovations and expansions to accommodate the growing membership and demand for quality facilities.
Today, the Vancouver Racquets Club stands as a pillar in the community, offering top-notch amenities and training programs for Squash and Badminton enthusiasts of all levels. With a dedicated team of professionals, members can expect expert coaching, skill development, and a welcoming environment to hone their skills and enjoy the sport. From beginners to highly ranked players, everyone is welcome at VRC.
As a non-profit organization, the Vancouver Racquets Club prides itself on its commitment to its members and the community. With a volunteer Board of Directors elected from the membership, decisions are made with the best interests of the club and its members in mind. From the pro shop to the licensed lounge, every aspect of the club is designed to enhance the member experience and create a vibrant and inclusive community for all.
Whether you're looking to improve your skills, meet new friends, or simply enjoy a game of Squash or Badminton, the Vancouver Racquets Club has something for everyone. Join us today and be a part of a rich history and exciting future at VRC!
