Valhalla Training Academy is excited to announce King of the Swing 2024, a steel mace competition that will test your strength and endurance like never before. Get ready for a knock-out round-based tournament where only the toughest will come out on top.
Participants will have the chance to showcase their skills in a 5-minute flight of 10 to 2's with the steel mace, earning points for each swing depending on the weight they choose. Men can take their pick from 7kg, 10kg, and 15kg options, while women have the choice of 5kg, 7kg, and 10kg.
Scoring is based on the weight of the mace selected, with the lightest weight earning 1 point per swing, the medium weight earning 2 points, and the heaviest weight earning 3 points. Competitors can choose to increase the weight for each round but cannot go lighter.
The competition will consist of four rounds - the Prelims, the Quarters, the Semis, and the Finals. The participant with the lowest score in each round will be eliminated until we have a crowned winner at the Finals, who will be named the 2024 King of the Swing.
To secure your spot in the competition, simply purchase the event t-shirt in your size and collect it from the club on the event day. Your email receipt will serve as your ticket for entry. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early for a competitors briefing at 10 am, as the action kicks off at 11 am. Get ready to swing your way to victory!
