Founded in August 2014 by Mick Geraghty and Mick Harvey, Uxbridge Amblers Walking Football Club is for men over 50, with a strong membership of 50 players. Partnering with Middlesex County FA, the club focuses on developing grassroots talent and expanding walking football across Middlesex.
The club's mission is clear: promoting health and well-being through walking football. They offer structured sessions for both recreational and competitive players, emphasising the importance of an active lifestyle and community engagement.
Off the pitch, Uxbridge Amblers supports Hillingdon's local community through monthly social events, raising over £30,000 for various initiatives. This commitment to giving back underscores the club's core values.
Training sessions are held every Friday evening and Wednesday morning in Uxbridge. New and experienced players alike are welcome, making it a fantastic opportunity to bond with fellow football enthusiasts and enjoy the camaraderie of the club.
