UWA Netball Club

UWA Netball Club is a highly regarded sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. Established in 1928, the club has been a competitive force in the Perth Netball Association (PNA) since 1961. With a strong focus on player development and skill enhancement, UWA Netball Club offers a fun and competitive environment for players of all abilities.

The club is proud to be one of the largest clubs participating in the PNA competition, fielding teams in Junior Year 7-8, Year 9-12, and Open divisions. Regardless of age or skill level, everyone is welcome to join the club, and it is not a requirement to be a UWA student.

UWA Netball Club's primary aim is to provide a friendly and enjoyable environment where players can develop and improve their netball skills. The club places a strong emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit. Many players have formed lifelong friendships and have had unforgettable experiences on and off the court.

The club's training sessions are an essential part of player development, and all players are expected to attend. Coaches dedicate significant time and effort into planning these sessions, ensuring that players receive the best possible training. Training for Open players and Year 9–12 players takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm or 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Year 7–8 players have training sessions on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Games are an exciting part of the club experience, and UWA Netball Club participates in the PNA Winter competition, which runs from May to September at the Matthews Netball Centre in Wembley. Open players have their games on Saturday afternoons with a 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm start time, alternating between the two. Year 9–12 players have their games on Saturday mornings or afternoons with start times at 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, or 2:30 pm/4:00 pm, also alternating.
