Welcome to UQ Wakeboard & Waterski Club, the only wakeboard and waterski club open to the public in Brisbane! Located on the Brisbane river in St Lucia, UQWWC offers a range of exciting activities for both UQ university students and non-students alike.
Operating every Sunday from 10am to 4pm (please arrive before 2pm to ride), UQWWC provides free lessons and coaching for waterskiing, wakeboarding, and kneeboarding. Whether you're a beginner looking to stand up on slalom water skis for the first time or an experienced wakeboarder aiming to nail that elusive trick, our experienced instructors are here to help you achieve your goals.
Membership at UQWWC grants you access to a variety of benefits, including free use of our wakeboards, surfers, waterskis, wakeskates, kneeboards, tubes, and more. You'll also receive free coaching from our team of skilled water skiers and wakeboarders. Additionally, the club organises regular social events such as pub crawls, camping trips, and houseboat trips, creating opportunities for members to bond and have a great time both on and off the water.
Membership prices for UQWWC are as follows: $100 for students and $150 for non-students for the calendar year. Not sure if you want to commit? Non-members can try wakeboarding or skiing once at a rate of $4. 60 per minute.
Discounts apply to membership fees after mid-year, so be sure to inquire for more details.
