Upnor Sailing Club

Sailors will find 86 sheltered moorings on the Medway, conveniently near the Chatham Historic Dockyard. A private pontoon allows easy dinghy launches and yacht docking for loading and unloading. The site also includes ample dinghy and tender storage and two scrubbing docks. The clubhouse, once three bargees cottages, was transformed by the club in the mid-'80s and now features a club room with a well-stocked bar, a balcony with stunning river views, a galley, and full amenities including toilets, showers, secure parking, storage sheds, workshops, and an outboard store.

Located just 40 minutes from London, the Upnor Sailing Club benefits from excellent road, rail, and sea links. The Medway River, known for its rich nautical and natural heritage, offers miles of sheltered waters and diverse wildlife like seals and seabirds, making it a hub for exploration. The club's strategic position near the Thames estuary swatchways, Essex and Suffolk rivers, and northern European ports makes it perfect for weekend cruises.
