At Upminster Bowls Club, players of all levels can join in competitions through various associations. The Men's section competes in the Romford Bowling Association and Brentwood and District leagues, while the Ladies' section plays in the Gidea Park afternoon League and Hartswood Evening League. There are plenty of opportunities for both competitive and friendly matches throughout the season.
New to bowls? No problem! The club organises regular taster sessions where you can try the game with no prior experience needed. Club members are always ready to help and discuss how you can join.
Roll ups, perfect for practising and gaining experience, take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 2:00pm, and Sundays at 10:30am. Just turn up and play!
Membership is open, offering access to the green seven days a week from 10:30am until dusk. The club takes care of all the maintenance, so you can focus on playing and enjoying the games. Secure parking is also available.
Upminster Bowls Club ensures fair and equal opportunities for all members, with mixed play encouraged. Club games are held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday afternoons, as well as Sunday mornings. Coaching is available, so don’t worry if you’re new – all you need is a pair of flat soled shoes.
