Are you the owner of UNYA Dojo - Aboriginal Youth First Sports & Rec?

Vision Our Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) Dojo – Aboriginal Youth First Sports & Rec is a vibrant and inclusive gym located in Vancouver, BC. We offer a range of sport and recreational activities to Indigenous youth aged 11 to 24. Our focus is on creating a safe and healthy space where youth can be physically active, make positive life choices, and develop leadership skills.
Our gym is free to access and caters to all skill levels, whether you're new to being physically active or an experienced athlete. We provide all required equipment and even offer clothing for those who may not have access to the necessary gear. Healthy snacks and bus tickets are also provided to ensure that participants can travel safely home from activities.
UNYA Dojo – Aboriginal Youth First Sports & Rec is run by a dedicated team of athletes, coaches, mentors, and fitness professionals who are passionate about supporting Indigenous youth. They lead classes, offer fitness and nutrition advice, teach workshops, and organize activities both in our dojo and in the wider community.
Our program activities are designed to be engaging and inclusive, with most activities offered on a drop-in basis. We also welcome partnerships with community members, Elders, volunteers, and professionals in the fitness and recreation fields.
UNYA Dojo – Aboriginal Youth First Sports & Rec is part of the larger Urban Native Youth Association, which has been supporting Indigenous youth in the urban setting since 1988. Our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities for youth and to be a safe and supportive place for them to access services and programs. With the support of our community partners, volunteers, and staff, we strive to empower Indigenous youth and celebrate their voices.
