University of Sydney Quidditch Club

USA, decided to bring the magical world of Harry Potter to life and created the first version of quidditch that could be played by Muggles. From there, the sport quickly gained popularity and spread to other universities around the world, including the University of Sydney.

The University of Sydney Quidditch Club (USyd Quidditch) is a vibrant and inclusive sports club located in Upper Lachlan Shire Council. Their mission is to provide a space where people of all genders, abilities, and backgrounds can come together to play and enjoy the exciting sport of quidditch.

USyd Quidditch is actively involved in both competitive and social aspects of the sport. They participate in State and National tournaments, showcasing their skills and passion for the game. The club also organises their internal University of Sydney Quidditch League, where players of all levels can develop and improve their quidditch abilities in a more casual and relaxed setting.

In addition to their dedication to the sport, USyd Quidditch takes pride in their strong social culture. They organise a variety of events and activities to foster camaraderie and friendships among members. From Foodie Fridays to trivia nights, scavenger hunts, and corporate team building events, there is always something fun happening with USyd Quidditch. They even offer a unique programme called “Kidditch,” which introduces quidditch to kids in a fun and engaging way.

USyd Quidditch has a proven track record of success both on and off the pitch. Since their establishment in 2013, they have received numerous awards, including Best New Club from the University, Best Joint-Event for their Nerd Cruise, and Best and Fairest Team accolades for their A and B Teams, the Unspeakables and the Unbreakables, respectively. They continue to strive for excellence and aim for even greater achievements in the upcoming years.
