Members can access the swimming pool free-of-charge by checking availability through the member login and booking their desired time slot. Alternatively, individuals can opt for a pay-as-you-go option by logging into their account or contacting the David Ross Sports Village reception team. The pool offers three different types of swimming sessions: swim sessions (with both lane and social swimming available), lane swim sessions (strictly lane swimming only), and deep water lane swim sessions (for experienced swimmers in deep water).

For those looking to learn or improve their swimming skills, the University of Nottingham Swim School offers an extensive programme suitable for all ages and abilities. From 6 weeks old to adults, swimmers can choose from a variety of lessons, including 1-2-1 private lessons and group sessions. The swim school focuses on Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) in collaboration with Swim England, ensuring high-quality instruction and stroke technique training.

Additionally, the University of Nottingham Swimming Pool caters to the needs of its members by providing a health and wellbeing suite.
