The women-only self-defence course offered by United Krav Maga Edinburgh is designed to provide participants with the skills and confidence they need to protect themselves in real-life situations. The eight-week course covers a wide range of topics, including safety procedures, attacking and defending techniques, the legal context of self-defence, assertiveness training, rolling and falling safely, psychological aspects of aggression, self-defence with improvised tools, fighting tactics against armed aggressors or groups, and improving physical condition.
Regardless of age or physical condition, all women are welcome to join the course, whether they have previous experience or not. The training emphasises practical techniques and strategies that are based on the principles of Krav Maga, which is known for its efficiency and effectiveness in real-world confrontations.
The instructors running the course, Patryk Kacaa, Kamila Krzyanowska, and Martha Ross, are certified by the United Krav Maga World Organisation and have undergone rigorous training to meet the organisation's standards. Patryk Kacaa holds the rank of Expert 1 Krav Maga, denoted by a black belt, while Kamila Krzyanowska holds the same rank. Martha Ross holds the rank of Practitioner 4 Krav Maga, denoted by a brown belt.
