Welcome to the UniSA Wing Chun Kung Fu Club, located in Adelaide, Australia. The club is dedicated to teaching authentic Wing Chun Kung Fu to UniSA students, staff, and the wider community.
Wing Chun Kung Fu is a logical, scientific, yet simple martial art that provides self-defence and fitness skills for individuals of all ages. Emphasising economy of movement, Wing Chun eliminates the need for brute strength and instead focuses on direct, practical, and natural movements that are easy to learn and apply immediately. Wing Chun students develop skills in balance, speed, and positioning through specific exercises and supervised combat that simulates real-life fighting situations.
Membership in the club offers numerous benefits beyond self-defence and fitness. Wing Chun provides stress control, discipline, improved concentration, confidence, and overall wellbeing, making it an excellent pastime for maintaining a healthy life.
The UniSA Wing Chun Kung Fu Club holds training sessions at the UniSA City East campus in Brookman Hall. Training sessions take place on Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. Please note that training venues are subject to availability. No uniform is required, but suitable training clothes are recommended.
Beginners are always welcome, and the club's instructors are highly experienced.
Membership fees for the club include the first three lessons for free. After that, please refer to the club's website for the club fees for 2023. To become a member, you must be a current Team UniSA member. UniSA students can join for free, while UniSA staff, alumni, and community members can join for a fee of $25.
