The Opua to Kawakawa section is an easy 11 kilometres, while Kawakawa to Kaikohe is a slightly more challenging 34 kilometres. Kaikohe to Okaihau spans 14 kilometres, and Okaihau to Horeke covers 28 kilometres with some moderate climbs.
