Turangi Golf Club. The club offers an unforgettable golfing experience in the heart of New Zealand's North Island. The golf course consists of 18 holes, with a par 72 from both tees. The length from the white tees is 5738 metres and 5145 metres from the yellow tees.
The course itself is reasonably flat and boasts picturesque water features and good tree coverage. One of the most breathtaking times to visit the course is during autumn, when the vibrant colours of the foliage create a truly spectacular backdrop.
Visitors are always welcome at the Turangi Golf Club and can enjoy the amenities of a welcoming clubhouse. The club is located in Turangi, which is situated 53 km south of Taupo and serves as the entrance to the Tongariro National Park, a World Heritage site. This area offers exciting volcanic landscapes, three ski fields, and excellent trout fishing, making it a key attraction for visitors.
The Turangi Golf Club was established in 1967, even though it did not have a golf course at that time. Two years later, members managed to create nine temporary greens, and by 1971, the full 18-hole course was opened.
Membership at Turangi Golf Club runs from the first of October until the thirtieth of September, with different options available. Full Playing Members have unlimited access to the golf course, voting rights at club meetings, and can participate in club tournaments and events, subject to field size and fees payable.
